The Arcadian space was the near-legendary creation of garden designer Rosemary Verey, who owned the house from 1952 until her death in 2001, after which it became a hotel. In 2022, it was acquired by British interior design company Timothy Oulton – the space now serves both as a serene hotel and a place to showcase the brand's handmade furniture. Each of the 18 rooms and suites at Barnsley House is dressed in soft, earthy hues that reflect the natural surroundings.
